Knwoledge Channel's LEEP helps teachers become Model Teachers
The Learning Effectively through Enhanced Pedagogies (LEEP) is a training program of Knowledge Channel, in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) to improve the delivery of education for Filipino learners.
The objective of LEEP is to train teachers and principals on a direct learner-centered educational system, in line with the K to12 program. The three-day training program focuses on the proper utilization of learning materials for a more effective learning environment for all Filipino students, for a more proactive approach in the classroom.
LEEP, which is the brainchild of Dr. Fe Hidalgo, is K Channel’s contribution to K to 12 curriculum that aims to ensure that teaching approaches, teaching technologies, and teaching environments result in effective learning—where learners are active participants in their own learning and where growth in learning is continuous. The training program develops effective learning through enhanced pedagogies. KCFI is currently enhancing the LEEP modules making it more relevant by integrating Disaster Risk Reduction (DRRM) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), Cultural Integration, Values and other content critical to the needs of the teachers, principals, and the learners in the various locales.
